No. But highly recommend
This spot never fails to deliver. They serve fresh dishes for fair rates, there no long wait even when the place is loaded.
Amazing food! Been going to Mona Lisa's for fifteen years. Not only amazing Food! Amazing service! It is an SF landmark! Mauricio is an amazing host too! Fresh pasta and sauce makes this place a one of a kind experience! Great deserts, wine and pizza too!The Factory Kitchen
It's an Italian restaurant, with many good options. The food is delicious. we went there with friends and shared different dishes. The restaurant is located in Downtown LA Art District and it has a valet parking available. they are open for lunch and dinner. Service was good and the desert was awesome .
I had high expectations for this place but I was disappointed. The server was very pushy on drinks. The Menu was confusing. The food was bland. Not a lot of flavor. Maybe they make it healthy or something but Italian food is not meant to be that. I didn’t have utensils or napkin after I asked twice. I wasn’t happy to be there after a few minutes but I stayed because I had company. I hope this place improves.
Mona Lisa is one of the many restaurants in North Beach I just found out you can count on for good Italian food. From the tourists coming in just from foot traffic, as well as regulars, I would say it's definitely wise to make a reservation ahead of time. The Factory Kitchen
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I love coming here. Sea food is always fresh. Used to come here almost everyday during my all too short of a time living in North Beach. Cioppino is my favorite. Come at the right time and Gigi will show you how to eat crab properly.
The food is exceptional for pasta lovers. Great presentation. No gluten free pasta dishes though. I got a pasta with duck and it tasted terrific! The drinks are unique and expensive even during lunch hour. They put a ton of ice in each mixed drink, which really makes it a flavored ice drink in my opinion. I would order from their wine list instead.
Favorite Italian spot is Art District DTLA. Make sure to try the pepperu and Prosciutto.
Food was nice. Flavors could use a bit more developing, but the notes they did present were present. If you're into bold flavors this might not be your spot. I was quite upset to find they practically place your bag of food on the floor at the entrance where everyone walks and comes in contact with it. If you have your food bagged for later ask to keep it at your table to avoid this.
The restaurant main focus is authenticity and this is reflected in their excellent food. The quality of the cooking remains extremely high. We have been to this restaurant many times and every time there is something special for food taste, service or varieties. This time we ordered many starters and all were so tasty. Love this place. For that reason, we will be back.
It's located on a small street with little street parking but there is a valet. Inside is pretty cramped due to its being so busy and it's not a large space. I had reservations and was sat fairly quickly after I arrived. The service was great. The servers were very attentive even the ones that weren't specifically for our table. Overall the food was good. The pasta was probably the best I've had which outshined the other dishes. The menu has many options and I would go back to try more.
Dear Santa,I want a self-regenerating robe of the Handkerchief Pasta. It's so silky and delicious, I want to curl up with it and nibble on it forever. Please? I've been so nice this whole year!If not, I can settle with the Casonzei, the Porchetta, or the Pane, too. Thanks, Santa!
This is no ordinary Italian restaurant. I visited for dinner in a party of four and was treated to some of the finest Italian cuisine that I have ever experienced. You don’t see the usual Italian staple dishes on the menu here - Angelo and his great chefs are far too knowledgable and creative for that. What you can expect are dishes created with the utmost attention to detail resulting in sublime multi-layered flavouring and great presentation. The outstanding food combined with attentive waiting staff served in a warm and friendly atmosphere make this a great venue for all occasions.
I would highly recommend this restaurant! The staff was friendly and helpful as we looked at the menu and tried to make decisions! There is a kid’s menu with a portion size that could feed the hungriest child. We had delicious potato pancakes, pork schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, and a brat that was done perfectly, crunchy but tender. The potato salad was exceptional. The price was reasonable. Lots to take home for another meal. We appreciated the authentic taste!
Attended a work lunch and the place was jam packed. Food and cocktails were phenom, can't wait to go for dinner. Definitely a share plate spot. Delicious!
Great pasta & vibes. Fun to see the pasta being made in the open kitchen area, we found the sauce to pasta ratio a bit lacking, howeverðŸ
Everything we had was fantastic. The prosciutto had so much flavor, and coupled with the burratta, was just amazing. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the veal ragu had so much depth of flavor. My wife had the seafood ravioli, which was very rich and very flavorful. The bread putting was a wonderful dessert to end a great dinner. My wife and I enjoyed watching the fresh pasta being rolled out and the slicing of the prosciutto.
I will echo the other reviewers in saying that the service here is excellent, and the food is truly delicious. Very tasty dishes, homemade pasta, hearty sauces, and creative flavors. This restaurant gives you all the hearty flavor-filled Italian dishes you're used to, but with a little bit of extra flair. To some, it can certainly come off as pretentious, but the staff clearly is devoted to the food and their customers, and I look forward to bringing more people to this restaurant - despite its popularity, its location still makes it feel very much like a hidden gem.
Recommend the prosciutto fried dough, but that's about it.
The best cioppino I've ever had in my entire life! I recommend everybody to go here, I'm from Chicago and I live in Denver and I've never had better in my life! Especially traveling all over the world. The owner is so amazing, he is so. I have fun!!! Must try!!!
Great customer service, amazing food. 2nd time here and its the best. Ive only been here during lunch time on a week day its usually very empty but as we were leaving it was getting full. I think any other time it will be very busy, so reservations are probably the best bet.
The owner Mauricio is very hospitable and makes you feel like you are guests at his home. The food is amazing. Everything is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant in Little Italy. Looking forward to coming here again. The Factory Kitchen
Five star delicious food service. Staff are very friendly and helpful! Wanna back again later soon!
A little hard to find this place but oh man are you rewarded when you do. Service is great and the pastas here are outstanding. The handkerchief pasta in particular stands out but honestly everything is good here. Make sure to save room for dessert as the cannoli is delicious!
First time here got the arugula salad and pork belly as my main it was probably the best pork belly I had. The place it self is different good.
This culinary Mecca is on every “must eat†list for a reason. The menu was a bit confusing but the waiter proved that no menu was needed. He laid out a three course meal that catered to our cravings. Every bite proved to be heavenly bliss on the palate. Every step of the dining experience was perfection. The only regret you’ll have in not coming with a bigger appetite!
The dishes were delicious all around! We tried their mushroom pizza which was loaded with fresh mushrooms and had a crust stuffed with ricotta cheese. We also had the handkerchief pasta, and the truffle pasta both of which had delicious notes of their respective flavors without overwhelming. Finished off with the banana pudding.
I was really impressed when I walked into this place. The place is pretty big and the decor is beautiful. I got the pear martini which is now my favorite drink!!!! I also ordered pad Thai and added shrimp and it was absolutely delicious... we were in a rush to go to virtual reality show so we didn't get to order dessert but I plan on coming back soon and check out the menu some moreThank you ! Also service was great
